Homemade Gluten-Free Pizza Crust Recipe

Making your own gluten-free pizza crust at home is easier than you think! This recipe creates a delicious, crispy-yet-chewy crust that holds up well to all your favorite toppings.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 ¼ tsp yeast (optional for a fluffier crust)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven
    Set your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  • Prepare the Dough
    In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
    If using yeast, dissolve it in the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  • Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients
    Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. If it’s too dry, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time.
  • Roll Out the Dough
    Place the dough on a lightly floured surface (use gluten-free flour). Roll it out to your desired thickness or press it with your hands into a round shape.

  • Pre-Bake the Crust
    Transfer the dough onto a greased baking sheet or parchment paper.
    Bake for 10 minutes to firm up the crust.

  • Add Toppings and Bake Again
    Remove from the oven and add your favorite pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings.
    Return to the oven and bake for another 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
